He is Full Professor for Psychiatry, Psychiatric Neuroscience and Neurophilosophy at Charit\u00e9 \u2013 Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin. He serves as Deputy Medical Director for Research at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Campus Mitte and is Head of the \u201cMind and Brain\u201d research division.His clinical research focuses on affective and psychotic disorders as well as addiction. Methodologically, his work centers on systems and cognitive neuroscience, particularly using magnetic resonance imaging, as well as big data and connectomics. -based approaches. His research topics include stress and resilience, emotion regulation, cognitive control, mentalizing, romantic breakup, positive psychiatry, and lifestyle psychiatry.
