Help advance our research by sharing your experiences or take part in our study on mental disorders in youth and young adults.

At ECYM, youth and young adults are not only at the center of research — they actively help shape it. In our study, we support youth experiencing the early stages of mental disorders to improve early detection and treatment in a sustainable way. At the same time, the perspectives of those affected and their families are directly integrated into our research.

Active involvement of young people in research

The perspectives of youth − with and without personal experience of mental health conditions − as well as those of their families, are a core element of ECYM.

Participants are actively involved in advisory boards and research processes—from the development of studies through to their implementation.
This participatory approach strengthens the relevance and quality of research and fosters trust between science and society.
