Imagine you’re 16, and suddenly everything feels unfamiliar—your thoughts, your body, your daily life. Many youth experience exactly this: anxiety, mood swings, changes in perception, or withdrawal, long before a diagnosis is made.
Mental disorders, such as depression or psychosis, often begin in youth. If not detected and treated in time, these disorders can derail entire lifes.
Thanks to funding from the Einstein Foundation, we have launched the Einstein Center for Youth Mental Health, thereby developing improved diagnostic tools and innovative therapeutic approaches for youth. Together, we are pursuing a single goal: to detect mental disorders in youth early on, better understand these syndromes, and treat more effectively − before a crisis turns into a serious disorder.
Some of our (sub)projects have not yet been funded.
And that’s exactly why we need your help.
