Leon Mengering is a research associate at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Campus Virchow-Klinikum). He completed his Master’s degree in Psychology at Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses on the early detection and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults presenting with high-risk symptoms for psychotic and bipolar disorders. In addition, Mr. Mengering is currently undergoing training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist. As part of his doctoral research, he investigates the differences between treatment-resistant and non-treatment-resistant depression, as well as their impact on the course of suicidality.
