Petra Ritter is Professor for Brain Simulation at the Berlin Institute of Health and the Dept. of Neurology at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She is heading the Brain Simulation Section. Additionally, she is appointed as Director for International Affairs at the Charité. Prof. Ritter is leading European infrastructure consortia such as EBRAIN-Health developing Secure Processing Environments for Human Digital Twins and the European Testing and Experimentation Facility for Health AI and Robotics (TEF-Health) that provides testing and validation services to AI providers. Her research focuses on the development of multimodal multiscale digital brain twins for clinical applications to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases.
